Apatite is typically characterized by a wide variety of spectrum and kinetic characteristics luminescence; luminescent images grains are often zonal. The luminescence associated with d-metals, REE, different anions, as well effects co-activation combinations. paper presents results comparative study photo-, cathode- synchrotron apatite (by example samples from crystal-bearing deposits Neroi region, Subpolar Urals). Using Jeol JSM6390LV SEM equipped Horiba H-CLUE iHR500 attachment, cathodoluminescence spectra were obtained 200–800 nm range. upon excitation radiation at 10 300 K have been analyzed first time; physical nature bands three main centers Ce3+, Eu2+ Mn2+ has examined; it shown that energy transfer can be carried out processes initially initiated interband transitions or photoionization. data important expanding possibilities spatial spectral resolution use applied problems.
